6thannual “Fuddle’s Fun-run” raises money for children in local hospitals

The 6th annual “Fuddle’s Fun-run” kicked off this Saturday morning at the Ray Smucker’s park in Yuma.

Funds raised at the fun run goes towards the Kids Cuddle Kit Closet program which helps children in Yuma hospitals.

Cuddlekit Closet Boardmember, Laura Hartman said the family fun event encouraged children to enjoy an event with their parents as they ran around the park.

Giving children a sense of accomplishment but also a very important lesson they’ll carry on in their lives.

“We also want them to give back. That’s what this is. We have a give back station where the kids actually learn that what their doing is helping other kids. And that’s really the basis of our program is kids helping kids. And people helping children. And we want our kids to get that sense of service and community.”

Event organizers hope to raise over $6,000 from Saturday’s fun-run.
