Amber Alert issued after 2-year-old boy abducted from Merced
The California Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a two-year-old who is believed to have been taken by his father.
ABC30 reports John Weir, 2, was last seen with his father Steven Weird, 32, in Merced, Calif., Friday night.
Reports said Steven was supposed to meet with Sarah Weir Saturday evening but he never arrived.
Earlier this year Sarah filled for divorce and believes it could have motivated the abduction.
She has a gut feeling he’s long gone.

” I personally believe he is no longer in California, I think he’s left the area, ” she said.
According to ABC30 , John suffers from a neurological muscle disorder and a weakened immune system. Sarah said he needs extra attention.
” Bring John home. Hand him over to the police or if he wants to talk to me, my phone is on, ” Sarah said.
Steven Weir is 5’10” , 300 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt with cargo pants.
Two-year-old John Weir was wearing a blue t-shirt with tan shorts.
Law enforcement believes Steven took the child, and Saturday morning an Amber Alert was issued. Reports said police are still searching for a 2005 red Hyundai Elantra with the license plate 5SKET544 .
Police said if you see the vehicle, do not approach. He is considered ” armed and dangerous.
