Local writers prepare for “National Novel Writing Month”

” National Novel Writing Month ” , challenges aspiring writers to draft an entire novel in the month of November.

Writing workshop at the Yuma main library and foothills, have helped provide tools for local writers to find inspiration for the stories they want to tell, build plots and characters and arrive at the goal 50,000 words in 30 days.

Christine Howard, one of the local municipal liaison for National Novel Writing Month said everyone has a story to tell, all they have to do is take the initiative.

” That’s one of the things National Novel Writing Month can do for you. Is if you commit yourself. Because it is just a challenge. Your challenge. Whether you ever publish it doesn’t make any difference. Maybe you just want to write a book. And it’s for you. Maybe you want to write a book for your family, ” said Howard.
