A school garden for the whole community

OC Johnson Elementary School is opening its own community garden in October, and anyone can reserve a spot free of charge.

The garden is set to be a special place where kids and adults can enjoy fresh air and fruits and vegetables.

The garden gives the community an opportunity to try farming. The school is only asking that those wishing to reserve a plot sign a contract and follow their rules.

The garden will be available to its gardeners seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. If you wish to reserve a plot you can attend a grand opening of the garden on October 19 or contact the school directly at 928-502-7900.
