Jury convicts man accused of taping drugs to his genitals
A Tucson jury finds a man guilty of charges connected to a bizarre drug bust, but law enforcement will have to find him before he can serve his time.
An Arizona state trooper says Israel Morales-Cisneros had some 200 fentanyl pills duct-taped to his genitals at the time of his arrest.
The discovery came after a March 2018 traffic stop near Tucson. The 33-year-old man also had more than seven-pounds of heroin hidden in a shoe box in his car.
The heroin had a street value of around $87,000. The pills were worth about $2,000.
On Tuesday a jury convicted Morales-Cisneros of multiple felonies including transportation of narcotics for sale, possession of narcotics, and illegally conducting a criminal enterprise.
However, Morales-Cisneros took off after posting bail, so law enforcement will have to find him before he can serve his sentence.
Investigators believe he’s somewhere in Mexico.
