Vista High School’s Lobo Community Connections Night

Vista High School will be holding its annual Lobo Community Connections Night on September 25, where students and families are connected with resources to help plan for college and a career.

Lobos night will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and families will be given the opportunity to meet teachers, college personnel, and industry professionals at the event.

“This is an Open House that reaches beyond our school to connect students and families with community services and resources to help plan for College and Career,” VHS Principal Brett Surguine said.

Yuma Union High School District ( YUHSD ) says representatives from Arizona Western College and the University of Arizona will be there to talk about admissions, dual credit enrollment, free application for Federal Student Aid, the KEY Program, financial aid, and career planning. There is also said to be military service branches, Yuma Fire Department, Border Patrol, and those from construction, baking, and real estate industry professionals.

YUHSD says those who attend this event will have access to hands-on activities led by Career and Technical Education programs, teachers and student council, free light snacks, and will be able to hear about resources such as Arizona @ Work, Arizona Children’s Association, Sunset Community Health, Arizona Complete Health, Yuma Family YMCA, among others.
