Border Patrol saves woman lost in the desert

U.S. Border Patrol Agents teamed up with Air and Marine Operations ( AMO ) to save a woman lost in the desert.

AMO agents noticed signs of foot traffic just north of the International Boundary wall around 6:30 Thursday night. They followed the tracks to a woman lying unconscious in the desert about 25-miles east of the Calexico Port of Entry.

AMO called Border Patrol agents on the ground, and they came to the aid of the suspected illegal immigrant. It appears she was suffering from heat exhaustion.

Border Patrol agents gave the woman oxygen and cooled her down until paramedics arrived. EMTs then took her to Yuma Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
