Arizona woman killed in fall at Yosemite National Park
An Arizona woman is dead after falling during a climb at Yosemite National Park.
Park rangers say 29-year-old Danielle Burnett of Lake Havasu City fell from the Half Dome cables. They say she plunged more than 500 feet down steep, rocky terrain. Rangers say Burnett was already dead by the time they reached her.
The incident remains under investigation.
Yosemite’s Half Dome cliffs are a popular destination for climbers. They’re located in central California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.
