Alleged child molester makes first court appearance

The man who allegedly broke into a home and attempted to molest two young children made his first court appearance at the Yuma Justice Court Wednesday.
The suspect, 32-year-old Chase Marshal Black appeared wearing a red prison jumpsuit, shackled at the hands and feet.
One of the victims said their entire sense of security was now stripped from them. Mentioning that the two little girls are now afraid to even go into their room or even sleep in there.
” Our house is scary to them, ” said the woman in court who was not immediately identified. ” This is not fair to them or to us. ”
The woman also made it clear that she would prefer if Black remained in custody as she fears retaliation from him or anyone related to him.
Black’s bond is set at $60,000 and is expected to make his next court appearance on September 6.

Yuma Police arrested a 32-year-old man after he allegedly broke into a home and attempted to molest two young children Monday.
Yuma Police Department ( YPD ) identified the suspect as Chase Marshal Black.
The suspect was not known to the family.
Black was arrested and booked into jail for two counts of child molestation, burglary, and aggravated assault on a child.
Court documents reveal this is not Black’s first sex crime-related offense. Black was indicted on charges of voyeurism in May 2019.
Black will make his initial appearance in Yuma Justice Court Wednesday afternoon.
