Locals observe National Childhood Safety Awareness Week

National Childhood Injury Prevention week occurs from September 1 to September 7. The purpose of this week is to raise awareness of the preventable injuries that harm and kill millions of children every year.

We can all do our part by making sure children have safe habits and behaviors.

Some of the most common preventable injuries are fall injuries, chemical medications, poisoning from household chemicals, and drowning incidents.

National Childhood Injury Prevention Week is a time for raising awareness of child safety measures, preventing injuries, and saving lives.
