Yuma City Council Election: Preliminary results

Unofficial results for the Primary Election were released Thursday and show all six candidates could be on the ballot for the General Election after not obtaining 50 percent of the vote, according to the City of Yuma.

There were 7,509 ballots casted, which included early ballots, all voting centers, provisional, and late-early ballots as of August 29, at 4:30 p.m.

Mike Shelton, Ema Lea Shoop, and Edward Thomas appeared as the top three council members. Chris Morris was right behind Edward Thomas with 33 votes.

Jason Bradley was right behind Robert Scarborough with 7 votes.

As things stand now, all six candidates will compete in the November 5 election.
