Power restored after vehicle collision

UPDATE:

Power has been restored to all homes affected by the power outage due to a vehicle collision.

UPDATE:

A vehicle that collided with an electricity pole was the cause of an outage that left 1700 people without power Wednesday afternoon, according to Arizona Public Service ( APS ).

APS confirms that only 8 homes are currently left without power.

The collision happened on 25th Street and 8th Avenue.

ORIGINAL STORY:

More than 1700 people are without power in Yuma and it won’t be restored until 8:10 p.m. tonight, according to Arizona Public Service.

The outage occurred around 4:09 Wednesday afternoon for reasons that are still being determined by APS .

The boundary for the outage includes 12th Street to 26th Street and Ridgeview Drive to Arizona Avenue in Yuma.
