Sexual predator arrested by Border Patrol Agents
El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported sex offender Sunday morning.
Agents say it was 5:50 a.m. when they arrested 38-year-old Francisco Mancedo-Vargas , who was suspected of making an illegal entry into the United States, near downtown Calexico . Mancedo is a Mexican National.
When agents say they record checked Mancedo , they found he was deported from the U.S. on Jun 6, 2019 after serving a seven-year sentence in Texas for sexual assault of a child.
Mancedo is the 20th sex offender arrested by El Centro Sector in 2019.
