Protesters demand better conditions for detained migrants

A group of protesters gathered at the Border Patrol facilities in Yuma to protest the recent anti-migration policies of President Donald Trump’s administration and the conditions in which people detained by immigration authorities in Yuma.

“We want a change, we want them to be more honest, to be more transparent with all these things that have happened,” said Esther Duran Lumm with the Coalition for the Liberation and Reunification of Families.

Charlene Fernandez, leader of the minority party of the Arizona House of Representatives was also present to show her support for the protesters and said they need to start talking about the possibility of licensing these places of detention, that the state should get involved and know where they are They find the children and under what conditions.
