Yuma Art Center debuts newest gallery exhibition

The Yuma Art Center is starting strong with four new exhibits for the 2019-2020 season, all from incredible local and regional artists. The opening reception is this Friday, Aug. 23.

They feature artists exploring a range of thought-provoking content including self-discovery, spirituality, and humanity.

Works by George Strasburger of Tuscon, Sandy Kaminsky of Yuma, and Cheryle Marine of Phoenix will be featured.

Arts and Culture program manager Lindsay Benacka says there will even be a special piece visitors can look out for. ” We have an interactive, immersive artistic experience. I won’t go into detail, but you’ll have to see for yourself. ”

The reception, 6 to 8 p.m. is free to attend and will have light refreshments. It will feature music by local guitarist Kevin Benbow .

The exhibits will be on display until Oct. 12.
