Fire victim loses every memory inside destroyed home

The fast-moving fire that tore through dozens of trailer homes in Yuma last Thursday left several people displaced. Including long-time resident of Yuma, Graciela Parra , who returned from California the morning after the intense fire broke out.

” I received a call from my neighbor who told me that my house was burning down, ” said Parra .

Parra said the flames burned through every bit of memory she had left inside, from family photos to cherished old furnisher.

” I lost everything, the ceiling of my home trampled on top of my belongings, my memories, my personal documents, everything was either burned into pieces or the water damaged everything else, ” said Parra .

The Parra family is asking for the community’s help to reconstruct their home from scratch. Here is the link to the Go-FundMe page to help with any donations.
