Hydrogen-enriched water station introduced at local gym

Starting August 20, the San Francisco International Airport will be the first airport in the U.S. to ban plastic water bottles.

Instead, they’ll be implementing hydration stations in an effort to reduce plastic waste on the planet.

The trend is already making its way to Yuma as a local gym owner is bringing a similar hydration system to the community.

The Complex Gym is introducing an alternative water refill station that’s not only better for our planet, but they say also your health.

Former doctor, John Cook, has been running The Complex for the last 20 years.

He knows how important hydration is, not only when working out, but also when living in the sunniest city in the world.

That’s why he wants the community to experience the benefits of drinking hydrogen-enriched water.

” I think hydration particularly when you live in the desert is extremely important. Hydrogen-enriched water is a way of transporting that water into the cell much quicker, ” Cook said.

Lakota Muenala is a representative with Stealth Detox Water, the brand that The Complex is introducing to its members and the community.

He said Stealth uses three advanced patented filters that are able to strip all the carcinogens, metals, and toxins out of the water.

This allows the water to keep its natural properties such as minerals, electrolytes, calcium, magnesium, and potassium that aid hydration, bone density, and recovery.

Both Cook and Muenala say the addition of active hydrogen neutralizes free radicals and toxins.

Muenala also explained when eliminating single-use plastic bottles by drinking from a BPA-free glass-like bottle, it prevents the consumption of over 24,000 chemicals that can be found in typical plastic bottled water.

Drinking from re-useable bottles also reduces the earth’s plastic pollution.

NPG does have a partnership with The Complex, however, the community doesn’t have to be a member of the gym to have access to their refill station.

Cook says anyone in the community is welcome to go in and fill their own bottle with the hydrogen-enriched water at a cost.

These hydration stations may soon be on its way to local schools, businesses, and other public spaces.
