Missing firefighter found dead

The body of 18-year-old Juan Jose Vargas Castañeda , a firefighter from San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, was discovered buried in the local valley early Monday morning.

Authorities said the young man had left his home last Wednesday afternoon to buy food and never came back.

Reports show the young man’s body was found buried with multiple stab wounds to his body.

According to Tribuna de San Luis, an autopsy is currently being performed. At the moment, no suspects have been arrested in relation to the case.

Tribuna de San Luis said on Saturday fellow firefighters were looking for him in the valley, but failed to find him.
