Secretary of Homeland Security to tour processing center in Yuma

Secretary of Homeland Security, Kevin McAleenan is set to visit Yuma on Wednesday where he will take a tour of the soft-sided facility that is housing hundreds of migrants.

His visit comes on the heels of allegations against U.S. Customs and Border Protection of sexual assault towards migrants in the processing centers, that NBC News reported.

Secretary McAleenan has recently toured other detention facilities in border towns like McAllen, Texas where the sole focus was to speak on the border crisis.

Other political figures in the area like Yuma Mayor Doug Nicholls, paid a visit to El Paso, Texas in July.

The Mayor spoke on the border crisis facing the country along with CBP and DHS secretary as part of the United States Conference of Mayors ( USCM ).

CBP will hold a press conference along the border with Kevin McAleenan and the Chief Patrol Agent of the Yuma Sector, Anthony Porvaznik .
