Former AZ Rep. Don Shooter undergoes second surgery

Former Arizona Rep. Don Shooter underwent a second surgery this week after a state lawmaker confirmed he was hospitalized for medical issues.

Capitol Media Services reported Shooter is hospitalized at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix and was on life support. Shooter underwent a second surgery Thursday following a crucial surgery on Wednesday, according to the publication. The blood flow had cut off to a part of Shooter’s intestines, and he had also suffered from a blood clot.

Russ Clark, a former Yuma County Supervisor, shared a post with us that was written by Shooter’s wife, Susan, stating, ” Donie has been in the hospital for the last five days and keeps getting worse and worse. And they just moved him into the ICU. Blockage in area that was operated on. Please pray. ”

Shooter, a Yuma Republican, was expelled from the Arizona House of Representatives on February 2018 due to a lengthy pattern of sexual misconduct.
