A Wisconsin woman claims her conditioner was mixed with Nair, loses hair in clumps

A Wisconsin woman’s hair fell out in clumps after hair removal cream was mixed with her conditioner.

FOX 2 in New Richmond, Wis., reports Ashley Rose had bought Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume conditioner at her local Walmart last week. Her mother, Taffy Jo Tim wrote in a Facebook post, “My daughter Ashley Rose bought some 2 days ago and someone mixed Nair in her conditioner bottle!!!! As I speak, she is losing hair and crying!!”

According to FOX 2, Rose said her hair was still falling out in clumps before shaving it off.

Rose reported that her only intention for sharing her experience on Facebook is to prevent it from happening to anyone else. “Check your bottle where ever you get them, nothing can be trusted anymore,” she said.

A manager at the Walmart store in New Richmond declined to comment on the incident and referred any question to Walmart’s media relations.

FOX 2 stated a spokeswoman for Walmart confirmed the company is investigating the incident and working with law enforcement to review camera footage.

Pantene did not immediately respond for comment.
