Suspect formally charged in shooting near Estrellita Meat Market

The man officers said was behind the gun during the shooting near Estrellita Meat Market last week was formally charged in Yuma Justice Court Friday.

Jimmie Jordan, 20, was arrested Tuesday by the Yuma Police Department ( YPD ).

YPD said they served a felony search warrant.

” Through interviews, through video, we were able to piece together a timeline type of deal. Again, interviews led to a possible suspect and then evidence was collected and that led to the same suspect where a felony warrant was done, ” explained Sergeant Lori Franklin, Yuma Police Department.

Jordan is facing four felony charges and is being held on a $1 million bond.
