Pet Talk: Meet Stark and Bitty
For this week’s Pet Talk, we meet two pets where one is all talk and the other is all about the food and treats.
Both pets are up for adoption at the Humane Society of Yuma.
Meet Bitty, a cream white-longhaired feline.
Bitty is only a year old and loves to tell you how she feels.
She loved to be scratched on the back and has a beautiful soft white coat of fur.
Bitty was very friendly which showed because she wanted to venture out the second we opened her kennel door.
Stark is a strong adventurous pup who is abou t three-years-old and is a Pitbull Terrier mix.
Though his breed may have a bad reputation, under all that muscle is a heart of gold.
Stark is a very mellow pup who would make a great movie watching buddy.
He would work well with a family that has older children.
If you have another dog, it is encouraged that you bring it to meet Stark in a safe environment.
American Pit Bull Terriers are devoted and loyal to their family.
These dogs are extremely intelligent, learn commands, and tricks with ease.
They have a zest for life and love to be involved in everything going on around them.
They maintain a puppyish demeanor well into adulthood, and that vitality makes them a joy to live with.
Both pets are available for adoption at the Humane Society of Yuma.
The shelter is now open seven days per week.
Their hours are:
Monday through Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday’s: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday’s: 12 P.M. to 4 p.m.
Because Stark has been at the shelter for more than 30 days, he is eligible for 50% off his adoption fee as part of the lonely hearts campaign.
The shelter will not be accepting owner surrenders through July 9 to supplement for the animals coming in from the holiday.
