Blood stains outside home lead to three dead bodies
Blood stains found outside a Mexicali home last week led to the discovery of three dead bodies.
According to La Tribuna of San Luis, at around 11 p.m. last Wednesday, the family of 47-year-old Carlos Casillas became suspicious when they weren’t able to get a hold of him for several days. Once they arrived at his home, they called the authorities after they found blood stains at the entrance of the home. Authorities arrived at the scene and found the bodies of Casillas , 23-year-old Laura Gabriela Manriquez , and a 10-year-old boy.
The Baja California Medical Forensic Service said all three victims died due to multiple stabbings to the skull and neck. It was also revealed that Casillas was living with Manriquez , his girlfriend, and her 10-year-old son at the time of the incident.
Casillas was a former state police officer from 1999 to 2001, authorities said.
The incident remains under investigation.
