City News for the 4th of July in Yuma

Yuma, Ariz. – With the 4th of July tomorrow the city of Yuma has some announcements for residents regarding event schedules and trash pickups.

In observance of the holiday, City Hall will be closed tomorrow. Regular hours will resume Friday, July 5. Also due to 4th, there will not be a Yuma City Council meeting later today. The Council will meet July 17, at 5:30 p.m.

For residents that recycle, routes will occur today instead of tomorrow, July 4. All other pickups will take place at their normal times.

Families can look forward to celebrating the holiday tomorrow at Desert Sun Stadium at 6 p.m.

At the free event, there will be food, entertainment and a fireworks show that begins at dusk. It is recommended to arrive early to ensure a good spot for the show.
