Target Deal Days to compete against Amazon Prime Day

Target and Ebay are looking to compete against Amazon’s widely popular Prime Day.

Both companies announced promotions for July 15, which is the same day as Amazon’s annual event.

The Minneapolis based retailer is touting no membership subscription is needed to score its deals whereas Amazon requires an annual membership rate of $119.

Ebay is offering free shipping and discounts on many top brands during its ‘crash sale’.

Experts say the name is a nod to the problem Amazon shoppers faced last year, when the sheer volume of customer caused its website to crash on Prime Day.
