Tractor-trailer carrying beer catches on fire near Dateland

A tractor-trailer caught on fire Wednesday afternoon that caused lane closures on Interstate 8 near Dateland, Ariz., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety ( AZDPS ).

AZDPS said it received reports of a commercial tractor-trailer on fire at 3:10 p.m. The Dateland Fire Department is at the scene and westbound traffic on Interstate 8 has been redirected onto South Frontage Road.

No injuries have been reported and no other vehicles were involved.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said the left lane has reopened.

The Arizona Department of Transportation ( ADOT ) is reporting a vehicle fire on the westbound lanes of Interstate 8 at milepost 73 near Dateland Thursday.

ADOT said the highway is currently closed and there is no estimated time of reopening.
