Someone out there knows what happened to Emily Hieber
According to a study by home protection company, VivintSource.com, Arizona ranks second for most open missing person cases.
Even still, there aren’t many missing person reports out of Yuma, which is why the Emily Hieber case is rare.
It’s been more than six years since the disappearance of the Yuma teen, but that’s not stopping the family from looking for her.
The family has faith in their private investigator, Dave McDowell, who has spoken to hundreds of people while investigating this case.
McDowell said, ” I am confident that I have talked to people who know exactly what happened. The trouble is trying to get those people to come forward and go on record and tell the truth. ”
Hieber has been linked to over a hundred locations between Yuma and Imperial County and McDowell established one common pattern saying, ” We know for sure that she was involved with a lot of people who were heavily into meth. Who not only sell, they traffic and use meth. ”
McDowell is also following other possible leads pointing to theories that he said involve anything from that Emily was murdered, taken to Mexico, involved in human trafficking, or being held against her will.
Although McDowell gets new leads almost weekly, the fact of the matter remains they still lack clear convincing evidence to figure out exactly what happened to Emily Hieber .
McDowell has no doubt that Emily Hieber’s disappearance is related to someone she’s familiar with.
That’s what gives her family hope that one day they’ll have an answer.
If anyone has any information to help further the investigation, the family asks messages to be directed to the Facebook page titled, ” Help Us Find Emily Hieber ” .
