Man behind bars for traveling to have sex with minor

A California man is behind bars after allegedly coming to Yuma County to have sex with a 12-year-old girl in 2017.

John London was arrested in Riverside and booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Center Thursday afternoon, according to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.

London allegedly met the girl on Snapchat, and they exchanged inappropriate pictures, according to Alfonso Zavala with the sheriff’s office.

He then traveled to Arizona to have sex with the girl, authorities added.

London is facing close to 40 charges including child sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of a minor.

He is expected back in court on July 3.
