CBP officers seized 92 pounds of meth at San Luis Port of Entry

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested a Glendale resident on Sunday afternoon attempting to smuggle 92 pounds of methamphetamine through the Port of San Luis.

CBP officers referred a 21-year-old man, a United States citizen for additional inspection of his Toyota SUV as he attempted to enter the United States. Officers said a canine alerted to a scent coming from the vehicle, where officers discovered several packages concealed through the SUV. Officers said the drugs were 92 pounds, worth $276,000.

Officers seized the drugs and the vehicle. The subject was arrested and then turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
