Animal control and hotel employees rescue kitten

One kitten is safe after spending at least three days in a 4-inch pipe at the Shilo Inn restaurant that is currently being remodeled, according to the Yuma Police Department.

Animal control and Shilo Inn maintenance employees teamed up to rescue the kitten that YPD said got onto the roof and may have thought the pipe would be a way back to the ground.

YPD said the kitten was covered in sewage and was weak and thin. Luckily, after being checked by the Humane Society of Yuma the kitten was said to be okay, according to YPD .

YPD credited the Shilo Inn maintenance employees; Ramsay Lord, Robert Garciduenas , Julio Juarez, and Jacob Fivecoats , for crawling into compact spaces and even cutting into the pipe to find the kitten.

One of the employees is willing to adopt the kitten, according to YPD .
