Teen accused of killing cab driver remains in custody

One of two teens charged in the murder of a taxi cab driver from San Luis, Mexico appeared in court Thursday morning to have her case extended to August.

Seventeen-year-old Hailey Dawn Hoover is one of two suspects accused of killing Guillermo Sotelo .

Hoover pleaded not guilty on one count of first-degree murder and other charges tied to the death of Sotelo , who police said was shot once and found in the desert near Highway 95 last July.

Hoover remains in custody at the Yuma County Jail on a $500,000 cash-only bond and is expected to be back in court in August.
