Local 11-year-old boy attending college

A local eleven-year-old boy is currently attending college after receiving the Reagan Principal Award at the Ronald Reagan Elementary School on Tuesday morning.

Stuart Albert Buchanan obtained the highest grade in math and is currently taking college-level math. Stuart is scheduled to take Math 187 pre-calculus at Arizona Western College in August.

Stuart’s teacher expresses that their classes were too simple for him, and in an effort to challenge Stuart, his mother Jazmin Millan enrolled him and his sister 13-year-old Izabella Mae Buchanan in college. Izabella will be attending classes at AWC with Stuart as well.

Stuart’s nine-year-old sister, Lalani Mae Buchanan is hoping to follow her brother’s footsteps.

On his free time, Stuart enjoys extracurricular activities such as playing video games and karate where he is a red belt.

Stuart’s next goal is to graduate high school in his junior year and college at the same time and move on straight to university.
