113 Central Americans apprehended near El Camino del Diablo

In a tweet Tuesday, Customs and Border Protection said 113 Central Americans were apprehended after human smugglers allegedly crossed them illegally near El Camino del Diablo.

Customs and Border Protection added Border Patrol agents were able to deploy resources and medics for the group that included women and children.

El Camino del Diablo, which translates to The Devil’s Highway, is a trail that links the Sonoran Desert to the U.S./Mexico border, and into Arizona.
