Pet Talk: Meet Nancy and Cowgirl
For this week’s Pet Talk, we meet a cat and dog that are larger than life.
Both are available for adoption at the Humane Society of Yuma.
First is Nancy, a cat with a beautiful coat who just wanted to eat her food and be petted.
Very rambunctious when it came to playing with her toys, Nancy loved being silly with whatever moves.
She is a 2-year-old domestic shorthair weighing about 8 pounds.
She has a soft seal and cream colored coat and is deserving of a loving home.
And a cute little chubby pup named cowgirl, with similar markings to a cowgirl boot this girl, is ready to romp around.
She is a 6-year-old terrier-pitbull mix weighing about 54 pounds and has been at the shelter since March.
Though her breed may have a bad reputation, under all that muscle is a heart of gold.
She has been out on the new dogs day out program and received a glowing review.
Her walker says she was great in the car and was one of the sweetest pit bulls she has ever met.
She walks very well on a leash and will simply sit by you and wait for treats, especially Pupperoni!
Both pets are available for adoption at the Humane Society of Yuma.
The shelter is now open seven days per week.
Their hours are:
Monday – Friday: 10 A.M. – 6 P.M.
Saturday’s: 10 A.M. – 5 P.M.
Sunday’s: 12 P.M. – 4 P.M.
Because Cowgirl has been at the shelter for more than 30 days, she is eligible for 50% off her adoption fee as part of the lonely hearts campaign.
