Three young adults in hospital after single vehicle collision

According to a press release provided by Yuma Police Department, on Saturday, May 25 at about 4:30 A.M., Yuma police officers responded to a single vehicle collision on the 2500 block of South 33rd Dr.

The vehicle was occupied by three young adult males.

According to police, the vehicle had gone off the roadway and struck a tree in the raised center median.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old male, and an 18-year-old passenger were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Both the driver and that passenger were later flown to a Phoenix hospital due to the severity of their injuries.

A second passenger, an 18-year-old male, was transported to YRMC for minor injuries.

YPD says Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in this collision.
