Sinema meets with CEO of International Space Station National Lab

Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema met with Dr. Joseph Vockley , CEO of the International Space Station National Lab to discuss the importance of the innovative research done in the National Lab on the station and it’s benefits to America’s space economy and Arizona’s growing space industry.

” The International Space Station’s work fuels space innovation in Arizona and across our country. I’m working across the aisle to support the International Space Station and the National Lab, ” said Sinema , ranking member of the Senate Commerce Aviation and Space Subcommittee.

According to Sinema’s team, space across Arizona continues to be the forefront of space exploration. As ranking member of the Senate Commerce Aviation and Space Subcommittee, Sinema is committed to ensuring the space industry can continue to grow.

Sinema recently introduced the Space Frontier Act, which streamlines and reforms the regulatory framework for commercial space launch and Earth observation operations and reauthorizes the US segments of the International Space Station through 2030. This bipartisan legislation keeps Americans safe and protects our national security interests while maintaining American leadership in the global space community and ensuring that the United States remains the best place to start a space business.
