El Centro native completes Air Force basic training
El Centro native Justin Meza graduated from basic military training at the Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, TX.
U.S. Air Force Airman Meza completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Meza, who is a 2018 graduate of Central Union High School, also earned four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. These four credits are earned by airmen that complete basic training.
