One injured in structure fire reported in Imperial

The Imperial County Fire Department is reporting a structure fire on Austin Road south of Keystone Road Tuesday afternoon.

According to fire officials, there are multiple exposures and one injury was reported from smoke inhalation. The individual is now being treated and will be transported to the nearest burn center.

The cities of El Centro, Calexico, and Holtville along with the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, Red Cross, and Imperial Irrigation District are also providing assistance and resources towards this fire.
