Funeral procession for Sgt. Ryland Croutch Thursday

A funeral procession is set to take place for Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Ryland Croutch on Thursday, the Yuma Police Department confirmed with News 11.

YPD said the procession will begin on Avenue 3E after the funeral ceremony and will most likely continue to about noon.

Drivers are advised to be cautious as there may be some restricted areas and delays.

YCSO issued a statement saying, “On behalf of Sheriff Wilmot, it is with the deepest regrets and sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Sgt. Ryland Croutch. Ryland was a beloved father, son, and friend and his untimely passing is a great blow to all of us,” in a Facebook post.

Sheriff Leon Wilmot said Sgt. Croutch embodied their motto, “Dedicated to Service”.

YCSO has called for badge shrouds to be attached to honor Sgt. Croutch.

It is unclear how the deputy passed away.
