Tunes and Tacos Festival 2019

The Tunes and Tacos Festival kicked off Friday at The Yuma Civic Center and will last through Saturday at Desert Sun Stadium.

“This event really brings what Yuma’s about, is what I like to say. This is tacos. We’re all about Mexican food in Yuma, Arizona. We’re close to the border and you couldn’t ask for a better place to try them all. We’re bringing all the taco vendors in town to you. It’s a one-stop shop,” said Cutter Chamberlain, Marketing Specialist.

The community showed up to judge which salsa was the best during the Salsa Queen competition.

The Tunes and Tacos Festival will include tequila tasting, dancing, and rides for the kids.

Chamberlain said this year he expects no different in the number of people they believe will participate.

“Yes, yes last year through the stadium we saw roughly fourteen thousand people come through, so that number has increased every year and were expecting to see more. We’re hoping with the headliner all for one coming, that it’s going to be a good turnout,” said Chamberlain.

If you want great advice to prepare for the event, Chamberlain is advising the crowd to come hungry.

Admission is $1 and wristbands for rides are $5.
