Dogwood Road to be closed next week

Drivers in Calexico should expect road closures on Sunday and Monday while Caltrans works on pavement work. Maintenance crews will close Dogwood Road from Ross Avenue to East Danenberg Drive in Calexico on Sunday and Monday, April 14 and 15. Caltrans said expect the closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for roadwork. The far right lane on eastbound and westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) and all on-and-off ramps at Dogwood Road will be closed. Watch out for detours on northbound and southbound Dogwood Road for I-8 access. Signs will also be posted for drivers on I-8 to access Dogwood Road via 4th Street/State Route 86, according to Caltrans. Motorists may expect delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route during the closure.
