Trump unity bridge travels to Calexico border
The Trump Unity Bridge made a stop in the Imperial Valley today.
Michigan man, Robert Cortis, created the float with his son to support president Trump’s campaign back in 2016. Since then, Cortis has traveled 130,000 miles with his bridge.
With the help of donations, Cortis has driven the unity bridge through 48 states in America, spreading president Trump’s message, to make America great Again.
Cortis’s first stop today, was to the El Centro Border Patrol Station, where he had a message for border patrol.
“My message for border patrol is, thank you for your service. If you look at the float we are flying your flag. And we’re flying it on this tour to show that we are proud of you, for your service and hardwork,” said Cortis.
Cortis embarked on His Build a Wall tour a month ago, and has already participated in over 140 pop up rallies.
” Educating americans, on the benefits of building the wall. Just letting people know if we build the wall, and the people stop coming in illegally it will save our country billions of dollars a year,” Cortis said.
It’s a wall that symbolyzies division for many, but for Cortis he is focoused on informing and uniting people with his messages.
“I hope this float becomes an icon of uniting behind positive messages and positive rallies,” said cortis.
The unity bridge is headed to Texas, where the president is expected to be this week.
