National Library Week Scavenger Hunt
The Yuma County Library District will join libraries across the nation to celebrate National Library Week on April 8-13, 2019. First observed in 1958, National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and observed across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.

Where Does Your Money Go?
Do you feel like your income isn’t keeping up with your expenses, or that you can’t save enough to cover an emergency expense? On Thursday, April 11th, the Somerton Library will present “Where Does All Your Money Go?” at 5:00 p.m. Gain skills in knowing where you spend your money, how much you spend, and how to make a budget. There is no charge to attend.

Yuma History
On Thursday, April 11th, Tina Clark, an archaeologist and historian for the city of Yuma, will present “Yuma History” at 10:30 a.m. at the Wellton Library. Learn more about the history of the area and those early Yumans. Ms. Clark is Curator at Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area, and works to preserve the legacy that early Yumans left behind for those who currently reside in the community and surrounding area. There is no charge to attend.
