Border Patrol apprehend two men suspected of illegally entering U.S.
An MS-13 gang member and a man with a violent criminal history were apprehended by Border Patrol over the weekend after they were suspected of illegally entering the United States.
Customs and Border Protection said on Friday night, agents arrested 26-year-old Valentin Reyes Rodriguez, a Mexican national for entering the country illegally near the village of Cowlic , Ariz. During the processing, Reyes Rodriguez told agents he is an MS-13 gang member.
Another individual was arrested on Sunday evening after illegally entering the country through the Mariposa Port of Entry. Agents said after checking a record check, he was identified as 48-year-old Gildardo Diaz Arroyo, a Mexican national, who is a repeat offender in Phoenix for conviction of sexual assault of a minor in 1998 and in 2005 for driving under the influence.
Agents said both men would remain in federal custody and will face immigration prosecution.
