Ex-doctor charged with conspiring to have ex-patient killed

A former doctor in southern Arizona has been charged with conspiring to have a former patient killed.

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office says 50-year-old Glenn Gary Robertson was arrested on March 5 at his home in Benson on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

The agency declined to provide other details, including whether others participated in the alleged conspiracy and whether the alleged victim was physically harmed.

It’s unclear whether Robertson, who is jailed on a $1 million bond, has an attorney who can comment on his behalf.

His license to practice medicine in the state was revoked late last year after Robertson failed to take a drug test in response to a complaint made to the Arizona Medical Board that Robertson sold narcotic prescriptions and had used cocaine.
