CBP: Teen had two pounds of cocaine strapped on his back
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Arizona’s Port of Nogales arrested a teen after officers said they found two pounds of cocaine strapped to his back.
Office of Field Operations officers at the Morley Pedestrian Crossing referred the 17-year-old Tucson teen for further inspection when he was entering the U.S. from Mexico on Monday. Following the alert of a CBP narcotics detection canine, CBP officers said they searched the teen and discovered he had a concealed package strapped to his back. The package contained more than two pounds of cocaine, worth nearly $56,000.
Officers seized the drugs, while the teen was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
