All-4-One to headline 2019 Tunes and Tacos festival

The 2019 Tunes and Tacos festival is gearing up to be one tasty event to remember.

A day full of music – capped by All-4-One – will fill your sense of sound. Outdoor grilling will take over your sense of smell. Savory tacos will have your tastebuds covered. To top off the sensory overload, Yuma’s sunny skies and the Desert SunStadium’s fresh-cut turf will make for a two-day festival visitors and residents of all ages can enjoy.

This April 12-13 at Ray Kroc Sports Complex and Desert SunStadium, Grammy Award®-winning and multi-platinum-selling group All-4-One will headline the “tunes” portion of the event, bringing their big hits such as “I Swear,” “I Can Love You Like That,” and others to the main stage.

This two-day festival kicks-off 6-10 p.m. Friday, April 12, with the People’s Choice Salsa Queen Competition and Kickoff Party inside the Yuma Civic Center. This $1 admission event is open to the public and features salsa tasting, complementary tequila tastings provided by local distributors and entertainment provided by Tropic II.

On Saturday, April 13, gates to the Tunes and Tacos Festival open at 11 a.m. Admission is just $1 per person (kids 3 years and under are admitted for free). The City expects more than 50 taco vendors to offer food for sale in their quest to be named this year’s Taco King. Other attractions include live music, eating contests, a zip line, bounce houses and more. Enjoy all-day carnival rides with the purchases of wristbands, which are three for only $5.

“Each year this event continues to grow, and with the generosity from our sponsors and the City of Yuma, the 2019 Tunes and Tacos is predicted to be the biggest one yet,” said Marketing Specialist Cutter Chamberlain.

That $1 admission charge also covers the music festival portion of the event. Local acts DJ RC, Radical Rewind, Bobby G and the Time Machine and the Side Hustle Band will provide entertainment throughout the day, before All-4-One caps off the evening. Music festival attendees may bring chairs and blankets into the stadium; however, no coolers will be permitted.

Vendor space and entries into the Taco King and Salsa Queen contests are currently open, as are a few remaining sponsorship opportunities. If interested, contact Cutter Chamberlain at (928) 373-5043 orCutter.Chamberlain@yumaaz.gov.

The Tunes and Tacos Festival was awarded the 2016 Arizona Parks and Recreation Association ‘Special Event’ award and has been featured in American Airlines Flight Magazine, Arizona Highways Magazine, and listed as a “must see” event in High Roads Magazine.
