YCSO warns of level 3 sex offender living in Yuma

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is informing the public of a 28-year-old sex offender who is now living in Yuma.

According to sheriff’s office, Aaron Castillo was convicted of a sex offense and is now residing at 7000 block of South Alicia Avenue in Yuma. He is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is not wanted by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office at this time.

Authorities said on June 6, 2014, Castillo pled guilty to two counts of attempted child molestation in the Yuma County Superior Court. He was sentenced to five years in the Arizona Department of Corrections with credit for 197 days. His victim was a 12-year-old girl that was known to him.

Castillo is currently under the supervision of the Yuma County Adult Probation Department.
