Suspect being sought in fatal shooting in Whispering Ranch
Authorities are trying to locate a suspect wanted for questioning in a fatal shooting in the small rural community of Whispering Ranch that’s near Wickenburg.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials say they received a 911 call Sunday night from a man who reported someone had been shot on his property northwest of Phoenix.
Deputies arrived on the scene and found a man who had been shot multiple times.
He died at the scene and has been identified as 27-year-old Jhonathan Calderon.
Sheriff’s officials say they are looking for 40-year-old Israel Vargas-Alvarez, who is considered a suspect in the fatal shooting.
